We met as students at the Academy of Art in San Francisco in 2010, the mashup of a farm boy from Ohio with a photographer’s eye and an urban girl from Oslo with a penchant for fashion and illustration. We were friends then lovers, then collaborators then lovers again, and our frequent mashups led to us getting married under the canopy of trees far wiser than us, in the Santa Cruz mountains with family and friends from all over the world. We  spent years traveling the US, often only accompanied by our Jeep, tent, and two beloved dogs, before ending up in Portland, Oregon. When Agathe got pregnant we fast tracked the dream to move to Oslo and start a new chapter, and here we are. 

We now share our life with two wild and wonderful girls and perhaps the only sailing Shar Pei in the region, Jenko. We work out of our studio in a historic log house from 1836, and spend as much time as we can in the mountains, on the ocean, and with our incredibly funny and inspiring friends and family. Having roots in both countries motivates us to foster artistic collaborations with clients in both Europe and the US. Welcome to Skrat Studio!
